RecipeZaar
I am guilty of severe data redundancy. I keep my most commonly used recipes in my SparkRecipes account so that I can track my daily nutrition when I need to. However, for planning my weekly meals I adore RecipeZaar. I talk about them so much that I wish they had an associates program. Alas, they do not so far as I know. As with most recipe sites, RZ has its quirks. However, they’re by far the best for meal planning, party planning, and creating shopping lists. You simply pop the recipes you wish to make onto your shopping list, and RZ adds up ingredients then sorts them by store department. Before I go to the store, I put my laptop on my kitchen counter and take inventory. I remove items from the list that I do not need. This has saved me SO MUCH time and money… I can’t even quantify. I used to be so guilty of aimlessly roaming the store and buying ingredients that wound up rotting.

I have a premium account over there, so I have dozens of cookbooks both public and private. I keep my favorite family recipes there in cookbooks that have pictures of my loved ones on the front. It’s so cool. Word of caution, though… They do claim some kind of rights to anything you place there. It has been awhile since I’ve read the terms of service. However, I don’t put anything up there that I wish to keep in the family. Even those cookbooks marked private are still privvy to RZ and Scripps. Read before you put anything too important up there. This is the case with most recipe sites, though, so don’t let it stop you altogether if you think you might get some use out of having an account there.

My favorite place to store recipes!

SparkRecipes and SparkPeople
My second favorite site for recipes is SparkRecipes. Their nutrition tracker is bar-none, and I can toss my stored recipes into it with little to no effort. Makes tracking much less of a hassle. Once you build up your list of custom products… those products you consume on a daily and weekly basis… tracking is a cinch. There is a companion site called SparkPeople where I have found great motivation when trying to lose weight or accomplish specific nutritional goals. I started a team called Group Hug over there. Join up and get ready for lots of warmth and encouragement.

Loads of motivation.

Netrition
YES, I’m a Netrition Associate. Anyone who knows me also knows that I adore Netrition. They have the most affordable prices for my favorite products. The best thing, though, is that they offer $4.95 flat rate shipping. It doesn’t matter if your order is huge, contains heavy liquids, or contains a zillion different brands… shipping is $4.95 in the continental U.S. Period! Plus, you get free stuff with orders of $75+. It’s not just stickers and crap. It’s drink shakers, good quality t-shirts, supplement samples, and more. I *love* the Netrition protein drink shakers. Make sure you request the *Netrition* shaker. It is sturdy with a built in screen. They sometimes offer others that are ok, but not as good as their own!) Not to mention, they offer volume discounts. The more you spend, the bigger the discounts.
